undone…
The scene opens with Isaiah, the Hebrew prophet, caught up in a vision. I don’t imagine that when he got out of be d that day that hew would experience what the Lord had planned. I won’t go into the description of what he saw in the vision (look up Isaiah 6). His initial impression of what he was going through is where I want to settle in for the night.
“I am undone…” (NKJV) Isaiah had just seen the world as GOd sees it and his response is honest and pure. He sees how his life has unraveled in an instant. He is doomed! His life, as he has known it, is gone and done with and now he must be re-made. You want to know something? I think we are all just moment away from seeing life as God sees it. It’s just hard for us to see it in the every day list of appointments, schedules, shopping, sports practices… so, maybe we have to be thrown out of the normal, predictable moments of the hum-drum.
Today, I saw some people begin to unravel. If you look at the pics it might just look like some charitable and benevolent Students playing with some impoverished kids in Guatemala. Think again! They have become undone, and it is beautiful. SO look at the pics and start asking yourself if you’ve ever had the chance to see Him, truly see Him as He really is. Maybe then you and I and this team can start a support group. We’ll call it… Church.
